Double Login?

<div class="IPBDescription">Login once for a website and then again for 1PW?</div>Am imagining things? It seems like before the last 1PW update if I logged into a website using the 1PW "pop up" in my browser I wouldn't have to log in to open the actual program later. I liked that (I think). Or am I crazy? Now this double-login business seems a bit redundant.

If I have lost my mind I'd like to set my preferences to make it possible to log in to a website and not have to log in to the program itself later...just seems a bit silly. I can't seem to find such and option though. Is that possible?

TIA!

Check your 1P preferences >> Security Tab >> Unlocking Section

Particularly, make sure that "Disable automatic unlock for 1Password" AND "Disable automatic unlock for all applications" do NOT have a check mark next to them.

Thanks very much...that did the trick! "Disable automatic unlock for 1Password" was in fact checked. Unchecking it took care of my "double login" conundrum. I guess I'm only losing my mind just slightly. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

    Many thanks!!

    No problem. I lost my mind a long time ago. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Hi have both options unchecked but still have to enter my password when accessing the 1P application after I have already entered my password in the popup box to access a website.

Also thought this was different before the update. Could have sworn that if I entered my password to access a website, I would not have to enter it again when access the 1P application.

To be clear, I did not have 1P running when I entered my password in the popup box. Is that relevant?

That's the problem I was having as well...and unchecking "Disable automatic unlock for 1Password" took care of it. Did you ever have that checked? I'm pretty sure it's a default...and I also noticed that it comes back after an update. I can't recall but I might have had to restart 1PW after I made the change, or I could have rebooted my iMac completely. You might give either of those a shot.

Brenno, which version and build of 1Password are you running? (1Password > About 1Password)

Well, this is kinda wacky. It seems that the issue is resolved. I certainly had those boxes unchecked. Since reading this post, I did some tinkering with the preferences but made sure all was reset the way I have had it set for some time. And, just as I am about to reply to this thread, I check again and 1P is behaving as it should. Not sure what has happened but I'm satisfied. Thanks anyway.

Thanks for letting me know that all is well. That's always good to hear. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_bigsmile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-D' />
