AT&T wireless & U-Verse login page

<div class="IPBDescription">Having a hard time getting it to work right</div>I have two different accounts with AT&T, one for my cell phone (wireless) and one for my home Internet (U-verse). They both use the same login page that has this lovely URL:

https://www.att.com/olam/loginAction.olamexecute

To get to U-Verse, I change the drop-down box to "AT&T U-verse" and then put in my "U-verse Member ID" and password. To get to my wireless account, I select "Wireless" from the drop down and put in my "Wireless Number" and password.

Is there a way to get my 1Password logins to recognize that the drop-down needs changed depending on which login I want?

Also: for some reason, my stored wireless login automatically submits the login, but the U-verse login doesn't. I guess the submit function is different?

Thanks for anyone that has suggestions to make this page smoother for me.

    Move your current AT&T logins to the trash, then try logging in at
https://www.att.com/olam/loginAction.olamexecute?goto=welcome
for Wireless and
https://www.att.com/olam/loginAction.olamexecute?customerType=U
for U-verse.

    Let me know if that works!

    Well, I guess that will work. I was hoping to be able to log in straight from att.com and select which account I want from 1P. That doesn't quite work even after re-creating the logins. It only works for whichever account type the att.com website already has listed in the dropdown for account type.

    However, the "Go & Fill" function from 1P remembered the right URL to go to and got me to the right account, so that's helpful. I'll just bookmark those two different URLs or use 1P's Go & Fill function to get to the accounts.

    Thanks!

    Hey eliot,

    I'm glad to hear that works, but it sounds like you are still not quite satisfied. Let me give this another shot.

Load http://www.att.com/

Fill in your login information for U-verse but do not submit it yet.

"Save login..." from the 1Password menu.

Edit the login data in 1Password and reveal "All Fields."

Create a new Field Name:
login-select
with Field Value:
uverse
with Type: text

Load http://www.att.com/

Fill in your login information for myWireless but do not submit it yet.

"Save login..." from the 1Password menu.

Edit the login data in 1Password and reveal "All Fields."

Create a new Field Name:
login-select
with Field Value:
wireless
with Type: text

    I do not have a working U-verse account, so I was only able to test with fake login information. This works for myWireless, but it is the default option. I cannot be certain it will work for U-verse. Give it a try and let me know. This should produce the desired result.

    This doesn't seem to work for me. I just get sent to a page that tells me my account must be a 10 digit number (it's apparently submitting the Wireless form). Even if I pre-select the U-Verse pulldown, this doesn't work.

    I have recently been forwarded to this page, as of late. Nothing at all works on this page: https://www.att.com/olam/loginAction.olamexecute If I enter my info (or dummy test info) I get no prompt from 1Password to add the account. How should I go about this consolidation of landing pages for AT&T?
  • Thanks for the guidance - this worked perfectly for me. I do have one more question though. I also have a AT&T Residential phone account, how do I select the Home Phone and Internet option using the login-select field - I now know its "uverse" for uVerse, "wireless" for AT&T Wireless but not sure what it is for Phone and Internet.

    Appreciate the help!
  • Keith, I'm glad to hear that that worked for you. It's always a relief to get back to Go & Fill paradise!

    Spyder, it took a bit of spelunking in the page source, but it looks like if you follow the above instructions and use "TELCO" as the value in the "login-select" field that should do the trick!

    Thanks for taking the time to work through this with us, guys. I guess I have just been spoiled because the site defaults to WIRELESS login mode. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

    i think it's many sections of login at ATT, but obviously i haven't test them all. It's not Flash (at least right-click doesn't reveal Flash). they redid their site a little while ago, i think that might be part of it.

    Using Safari 5.0.5, 1P 3.5.9

    Hey there, SteveSalt!

    I hope you don't mind, but I have merged your post with another thread concerning AT&T website login issues. We have, collectively, come up with some good solutions, I think. Let me know if this helps. If there is anything else we can do for you, just ask. We're here for you! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

    No, that's cool. I tried searching ATT but it's too short for the forum criteria.

    Ok, so following the above, i tried to get it to login to Home Phone & Internet. When i added the extra field in the 1P edit, i used "account" which is the corresponding option value in the source code. Saved, closed att, and triggered the 1P shortcut to Go and Fill in. 1p did not change the dropdown to Home Phone and Internet, it stayed on myWireless. BUT, i was logged in and able to get to my bill.

    <form action="#" id="login-select-form" name="login-select-form">

    <label for="login-select">Log in to:</label>

    <select name="select" id="login-select" onchange="loginSwitch('nonce')">

    <option value="wireless" selected="selected">myWireless</option>

    <option value="account">Home Phone & Internet</option>

    <option value="uverse">AT&T U-verse</option>

    </select>

    </form>

    Hey Steve,

    It sounds like 1Password submitted the correct value even if it was not visually indicated. Is that correct? If so, I am glad everything is working well. If not, please help me understand better. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

    Thanks!

    I know exactly what you mean. I even knew this thread was here and I had trouble finding it! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/angry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':angry:' />

    Yep! The form is submitted with the appropriate values even if this is not always reflected in the display. It can be a little confusing, but this is the web we have! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

    Another thing I have run into occasionally is getting logged in before the page is even finished loading, so it appears as if nothing was even filled. This happens especially on sites like AT&T's where there is scripting running that pops up dialogue boxes ("Loading," etc.) This is a bit more intensive, so it seems like the site itself is actually fully loaded before the browser finishes rendering it.

    Anyway, I am glad it's working for you now! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />
