1PW for Android: No Usernames

Not a basher here.....I'm an early adapter of 1PW for Mac and find it to be one of my most used and valued programs. I LOVE 1PW!!

However,

I find the Android version does not list Usernames. It does me little good to be away from my Macs and only be able to access a site's password without the username. I'm perplexed as to why Agile would omit this capability from an otherwise wonderful program.

I'm using Version 1.0 Beta #6.0 as reported from the "About" menu on a Droid X. All other features work perfectly. I've deleted and re-installed both the program and the Keychain two times with no change.

Hopefully I'm just missing a setting somewhere and I'll be very embarrassed when I discover how to enable usernames. I understand this is a BETA version and all, but I'm REALLY, REALLY hoping you'll include usernames in the final version.

If this is just a settings issue, could someone please advise how to enable usernames?

Respectfully,

dan

  • Gene,

    I downloaded Version 1.0 Beta #6.1 yesterday.

Usernames are now correctly displayed and life is good again. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

As I mentioned earlier, the remainder of the program works perfectly and the UI is a pleasure and more to my liking that that on the iPhone. I have found the Droid X to be rather speedy and 1PW particularly so.

The sign-in screen is intuitive and easy to use. I am undecided if I prefer this sign-in procedure as compared to the "two-step" method on the iPhone. One additional step vs. a little extra security; let's think about this.......

The feature allowing PIN's and shorter entry passwords on the Android version may be welcomed by some but I prefer my nice, long, complicated password for a little extra security. (Perhaps I just resolved my dilemma in the above paragraph.)

I'm hoping for the final version to allow changes from the mobile app and bi-directional syncing. If so, an option allowing the program to remain open for a user-defined amount of time would be nice. The settings for this feature on the Mac version would be a good model.

I left my iPhone for an Android device for many of the well-publicized reasons so common today. I'm not sure this divorce would have been possible had the Android version of 1PW not been available. It is a MUST HAVE for any smartphone.

    Thanks again,

  • Hi sirdaniel,

I thank you for all nice words your said about 1P for Android, your comments really made my day!

We all here at Agile are doing the very best in order to bring our products as close to

    perfection as possible.

I completely agree with you that many very important features are to be added to the 1P for Android

to bring it to the level of its iPod counterpart.

Agile management is currently evaluating the future development path for 1P for Android, the application is

an integral part of the Agile product family and development plans and schedules depend on the Agile Inc set

of priorities as a business organization.

Please stay tuned for the product updates and always share with us your suggestions and recommendations.

Thank you again and best regards,

    Gene
