iPad won't sync with Macbook Pro

I recently started having problems with my iPad 1Password syncing with my Macbook Pro. I read a bunch of threads on the forums and tried everything I can imagine. I even tried deleting the iPad from the sync section on the Macbook and uninstalling and reinstalling the iPad version. When I try to set it up again, my Macbook doesn't recognize the iPad to enter the secret codes. Please help!!! I've tried everything listed on the forums.

    Hi Drew,

What you describe with WiFi sync is almost certainly caused by some sort of network configuration issue. The problem is that it takes a lot of trial and error to identify and resolve that sort of network problem. My first guess will be to ask whether you have any sort of firewall (like LittleSnitch or VirusBarrier) installed on your Macbook Pro that might be preventing 1Passwornd on your Mac from making network connections.

But instead of trying to find out exactly what is going on with your network set-up, it might make more sense to look at cloud syncing with Dropbox instead of using WiFi sync. WiFi sync is great when it works, but it can be finicky. Also WiFi sync requires that you have your data unlocked simultaneously on your Macbook Pro and on your iPad while being connected to the same local network. Cloud syncing with Dropbox obviates these problems. So please take a look at

And for more information about setting things up with Dropbox, there is

If, instead, you would like to continue with WiFi sync, it would be best to send us a Diagnostics Report. This will include a lot of configuration information. You can generate the report from 1Password on your Mac by clicking the Help > Troubleshooting > Diagnostics Report... menu item and then sending the report to us at support@agile.ws using Mail.

Please include a link to this thread in your email message so that we can 'connect the dots'.

    Thanks!
