Failed to query nsIDOMHTMLElement

When I visit some pages I get many errors in console log.

For example when I login into iGoogle http://www.google.com/ig?hl=en&source=iglk) I get 322 lines of the same error

9/21/10 4:25:41 PM firefox-bin[56270] Failed to query nsIDOMHTMLElement

I am using 1Password 3.4.2 with Firefox 3.6.10 on MacOS 10.6.4. I tried disabling all other extensions and plugins, but still get this error. I also tried 1Password 3.4.3.BETA-2 (build 30752) and get the same behavior.

    Hi D. Martin,

Welcome to the forums! I'm sorry that our introduction couldn't be under better circumstances.

Could you email us your Diagnostics Report? (Please DO NOT post it in the forums.) This will help us track down the issue more quickly. You can generate the report from 1Password on you Mac by clicking the Help > Troubleshooting > Diagnostics Report... menu item and then attach the report to a message to support@agile.ws

In the meantime, have you tried following these steps to kickstart the Firefox extension?

We look forward to getting this resolved for you. Thanks!
  • Log file is on its way to you.
  • I followed the steps to kickstart the Firefox extension. There was no change in behavior.

As per your support e-mails, it does look like this is an issue specific to some JavaScript on selected sites (http://www.google.com/ig being perhaps a popular example). We are working on a solution to resolve this. In the meantime, the issue does not rear its head if JavaScript is disabled on the sites where the error occurs. Sorry I don't have a better answer yet, but we look forward to resolving this in a future update.

    Thanks for helping us nail it down! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />
