Question: Difference 1password ipad and itouch

I have 1password 3.5.2 for Ipad and Iphone installed on my Ipad. When I use the app to sign in to various websites such as e-bay the screen resolution is extremely fuzzy. Is that because the app is for Itouch and Iphone? If so, how do I upgrade to the app for Ipad and also is there a discount since I already purchased the app for my Imac and my Itouch? Hi hbmike,

Unfortunately apple is the sole owner/master of the app store, we are unable to provide discounts, refunds, etc directly. However if you follow 1P via twitter and Facebook I have seen coupon codes go out. It sounds by your problem that you are running 1P standard on your iPad possibly.

There are currently 3 version of the touch app

Standard = no silver boarder (designed for iphone) currently as of this writing $9.99

Pro = silver boarder (designed as a universal app for both the iPhone and iPad) currently as of this writing $14.99

iPad = Designed for just the iPad currently as of this writing $9.99

I cant promise anything but at times last year special discounts etc were held, you may also want to follow the 1P blog. I am just trying to save you some cash here. Since you have a iPhone and an iPad I would suggest going with the Pro version.

Thanks for the response. My only concern now will the fuzzy out of focus websites have more clarity with the "ipad" version?

Give me an example URL (no sensitive info please) or did you just want something related to the 1P app itself. If its a URL Ill post you a screen shot from both, the phone and the iPad, oh wait I think the wifes iPad will take a screen shot just like the phone. Can you tell she dont let me touch it that much <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

The more I think about this the more I wonder if I read it correctly, are you referring to the internal browser of 1P, where it will auto log you in or mobile safari

I see what you mean on ebay using the internal browser there is a small distortion in some of the text, but thats about all I see. Of course I try take it into context for me having some vision impairment I sometimes cant readily tell if its me or the site

    Thanks for the prompt reply.

E-bay.com is definitely one of the sites. If I link from 1password's internal browser it is a fuzzy picture. If I open either the atomic web browser or safari and enter the password by hand the rendering is sharp. Will it do the same on the Ipad version also or is this being caused because I think I am using the i touch version? I think entering passwords "by hand" kind of defeats some of the purpose of using a password program.

Me and you both, I am hoping Apple will make changes to Mobile Safari in the future and we can have a 1P type of experience.

[s]Mine[/s] Hers is not overly fuzzy just kind of annoying due to text problems Its not bad just annoying to me. I am using the Pro version.

I dont think we have ever made changes to the internal browser, so I cannot comment directly. If she gives me access to her iPad Ill try the standard version and let you know.

Just so you know the 2 different versions cannot co exist at the same time since they share some of the same framework unexpected and bothersome results will happen if you try to install both at the same time.

hbmike, it sounds like you are not running the iPad version of 1Password. Apple allows iPad devices to run all iPhone apps, but they will either run in a tiny window or blown up and pixelated. There should be a 1X icon in the bottom right corner if you are running 1Password for iPhone on your iPad. 1Password for iPad is a separate app.

For users who have not already purchased 1Password for an iOS device, we offer 1Password Pro (with the exact same functionality as 1Password for iPhone and 1Password for iPad) which runs natively on both devices and is offered at a lower price than buying both apps separately.
