Identities not supported on iPhone or iPod touch

I have looked and can't see my identities in the iPhone version of 1Password. Do they not transfer? What am I doing wrong??

    Hi swdstmaker,

    Welcome to the forums!

1Password for iPhone does not currently support Identities. We are considering added in this functionality in a future version but have nothing to announce at this time. Thank you for letting us know it would be useful to you!

Can I just add my request for support for Identities on the iPhone version. I really expect the 1Password on all platforms to have feature parity as far as is techncially possible. Having certain items that can only be created/viewed in versions for a specific platform is a big problem.

    Thanks,

    Chris

Thanks for adding your voice, Chris! All of us at Agile use the apps every day (not just to test and for support purposes). We are users ourselves first and foremost. We are all very excited to add this functionality in a future update. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />
  • I have installed 1Password Pro 3.5.2 on my iPod since August, and it is working fine.

Recently I installed it also on my iPad, and it seems to work fine too.

But, on my iPad, there is an extra category " Identities", which I do not see on my iPod....

Can I see "Identities" also on my iPod?

    Hi Wink10,

    Welcome to the forums!

I merged your post with the appropriate thread. Please see above and let me know if there is anything else I can help with. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_bigsmile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-D' />

I would bet that the unified release of iOS 4.2 will better enable developers such as Agile to more simply maintain feature parity across all supported devices.

    Also, folders on iPad! I'm counting down the days! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

We are hoping that eventually it does simplify things. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_bigsmile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-D' />

We'll see how that turns out. My motto is: everything always takes longer than I expect it to. This applies to driving across town as well as software development. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';-)' />

I'd like to add my vote to this feature request. It's been several months now and while I can view/manage identities on my iPad, I can't on my iPhone even though I'm using 1Password Pro which is universal. I really don't want to have to dupe that information into secure notes.

We are hard at work on 1Password for iPhone. Thanks for letting us know this would be useful to you as well.

    Counted! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

    Cheers,
  • I think this should be a great option too! Per example, if you put a scan of your passport as an attached file... in case you lost the real one, it can be very useful to have it on your iPhone!

Welcome to the forums, Mirakel75! Thank for adding your vote. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

In fact, I counted two votes: one for Identities in iOS and one for attachments in iOS.

    We appreciate the feedback!
  • +1 for Identities on the iPhone. Is there a reason that it doesn't have identities?

Welcome to the forums, Jon! It simply has not been implemented yet. I'll pass your vote along to the developers, though.
