Safari 5 extension won't install

Hello,

I was hoping 1Password would work with Portable Firefox, because I use it everywhere, but based on my searches here, that's not supported. Oh well, hopefully in the future! However...

My real problem, though, is I can't get the 1Password extension to install in Safari Version 5.0.2 (6533.18.5). I've tried installing several times, restarting the browser numerous times. I've also tried repairing folder permissions via 1Password troubleshooting menu.

Any ideas?? I'm using Mac OS 10.6.4 on a 2010 Mac Pro.

    Hey Ron,

Welcome to the forums! I am sorry you are having this problem, but you did not mention what version of 1Password you are using. Could you let me know? Thanks! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

Thanks for that! Well, I take it from your original post that you have removed and reinstalled the Safari extension in 1Password's preferences by checking and unchecking the box next to Safari (probably a million times):

If that isn't working, could you please email us your Diagnostics Report? This will help us track down the issue more quickly. You can generate the report from 1Password on your Mac by clicking the Help > Troubleshooting > Diagnostics Report... menu item and then attach the report to a message to support@agilewebsolutions.com.

  • I didn't try checking/unchecking a million times, but close! Haha, thanks. Good news, though...I got it to work. Just did a system reboot. I thought only the browser needed a restart (and I don't reboot very often). So after rebooting, the extension finally showed up in Safari.

Thanks a lot for the replies! Much appreciated. Sorry I didn't try a reboot before posting, but maybe someone with the same problem will be able to find this.
