Three Glitches
in Mac
<div class="IPBDescription">2 possible bugs and one behavior</div>Despite this app's superior excellentness, I have a few minor gripes.
NUMBER 1
I don't shut my computer off and it's rarely asleep, but I've noticed a buggy behavior of 1Password on now and then when it has been.
On a few occasions when I've come back after some hours of computer sleep, the grey bottom bar with the buttons was full of miscellaneous graphics which didn't go away. I didn't say "random" because it's not computer data noise, or random static. Rather, it's bits and pieces of interface elements from elsewhere, or blocks. I don't even think they're necessarily elements from 1Password itself.
Because I had trouble getting signed up with this forum, I've been a bit slow posting this. There may have been an update or 2 in the meantime, and I haven't had occasion to observe this behavior again.

NUMBER 2
Secondly, though my default browser is Firefox, and I rarely use anything else, choosing the "1Password Help" from the Help menu starts up Safari. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Not cool.
NUMBER 3
My third point concerns more a matter of OS X UI convention contravention, or a wish.
In list mode date columns are medium style and include the time. That takes a lot of real estate. If the column width is reduced, instead of hiding the time, and eventually switching to the short date format as some apps do, the column contents are merely truncated with an ellipsis added. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_no.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='(n)' /> How about an auto-condensing date, or a choice to display only the short date?

Hi Metacarpal,
Welcome to the forums! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />
I'll try to address your three points individually.
Because I had trouble getting signed up with this forum, I've been a bit slow posting this. There may have been an update or 2 in the meantime, and I haven't had occasion to observe this behavior again.
1. Indeed. "Fixed rare graphic glitch in lower portion of main window after unlock" was actually in our latest changelog. Version 3.4.4 should not exhibit this behavior (1Password > Check for Updates…). <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />
2. For better or for worse, this is on purpose. Some people associate HTML files with text editors and get confused. Safari seemed the safest choice. The other links (which are to online URLs) do respect your default browser choice (as you may have already noticed). We made the difficult decision to force Safari to open the lone local HTML file to avoid any possible confusion. I am sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.
3. Offhand I cannot say why this is the case. There may be good reason, or it may be an oversight. I have passed this along for review. Thanks for mentioning it. (I do like the way Mail, Finder, and others handle date columns.)
I hope that helps. Please let me know.
