Login for bank mysteriously appeared in my logins

When I used 1Password to log in to my online banking account this morning I just clicked on the login and there was an attempt to login using a different username and password. I have 1Password synched with my iPhone and iPad through Dropbox. On checking my list of logins, I found a second login for my bank login page which happened to be the one I clicked without looking closely. It was the first in the list above my real login. I deleted the bogus login info and then found the same thing on my phone and deleted it as well. Can someone advise me if there are some steps I should take to make sure 1Password hasn't been compromised in some way? Thanks.

    Hi davew,

    Welcome to the forums!

The only way to access your data is with your master password. If you have reason to believe that someone else has your master password, I strongly recommend changing it immediately. See this other thread for my full advice on choosing a master password, but the short version is:

All lowercase characters

At least 15 characters

Non dictionary words
Although, if you were experimenting with changing your password using 1Password's built-in Strong Password Generator, might it be possible that you introduced the new logins? Just a thought.

    I hope that helps.

I would also add that if I were out to get you, I would not add bogus logins for your bank to you 1Password data. I would silently steal what information already existed in 1Password. My hunch is that no one is after you. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_bigsmile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-D' />

Thanks Khad. You know, I did use the password generator the other day, so I'll chalk it up to that for now. Have changed the master password, so I should be OK. Thanks again for the quick reply.
