Suggestion: Allow alternate URL or domain names to match against

Allow me to specify somewhere that ameritrade.com is same as tdameritrade.com

citicards.com uses accountonline.com if you try to re-sign-in after a sign-out.

Similarly att.com and sbc.com

Your competitor "Last Password" does this (and even comes preloaded with alternates for top-used sites)

Thanks

  • Heh, wow. I just logged into the forums to request this exact feature for this *exact* set of websites <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

I second this feature, it would be really cool since there are several websites I login to which use multiple URLs with the same username/password.

Thanks for the suggestions. This is something we are considering in a future update. We are trying to ensure that there is a balance between the convenience of such a feature and the security implications (particularly of certain phishing attacks). I do not have a time frame for a specific release, but we are looking into this! Many of us at Agile could benefit from this ourselves. in the meantime, we are just creating logins for each domain.
  • Mark me down as wanting this feature as well.

I do understand the phishing vs convenience feature but it would be nice to be able to specifically assign alternate URLs to existing passwords. The biggest problem with having multiple entries is when a password needs updating having to go update all the instances of it.

Exactly, Zach. We are working on some clever solutions to this problem. Thanks for your patience! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />
  • One more vote for this one: SuperDuper!, eg, uses either shirtpocket.com or shirt-pocket.com, there are several European airlines that are all the same under all top level domains, but have their online reservation systems, etc. under different ones, eg: airberlin.com, airberlin.de, airberlin.at, airberlin.fr, etc...

    So: +1 for this one!
  • Thanks for adding your vote mkalina!

something related. some way to login to the same domain:

    www.domain.com

    domain.com

    *.domain.com

there are sites out there where all work and even sometimes they change the prefix as you're browsing.
