Filling in identities

Until recently I could fill in my first identity in Safari using a keyboard shortcut, control-option-shift-1. This stopped working after a recent 1Password update (I'm fairly sure it worked through the last Safari update).

I can't recall if this is a built-in 1Password shortcut, or if it is one I added myself. Any suggestions on how to get it working again are welcome.

    Hey danco,

The default keyboard shortcut is Option-Shift-Command-1 (2, 3, etc.) with the Command key used in place of the Control key in your original post. Perhaps it was a mistake and you meant Option-Shift-Command-1.

In any event, you should see the current shortcut for the command listed in Safari's menu (Edit > Fill with 1Password Identity). You can remove any custom shortcuts you have set up in System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > Application Shortcuts to restore the default shortcuts.

Please let me know how it goes. Thanks! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

No, not a misprint on my part. Ages ago, 1Password's keystroke's clashed with Safari's and I changed it.

Fill with 1Password Identity wasn't there in the Edit menu. Removing all browser extensions and putting them back produced it. I do want to change the shortcut. Should I use the Keyboard Shortcuts item in System Preferences or is it done somewhere in 1Password?

The standard Mac OS X method of creating custom keyboard shortcuts is the route to take.

System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > Application Shortcuts

    I hope that helps. Please let me know! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

Yes. Works fine. I had to remember that, in order to get identities in the order I liked, one identity began with a space.
