Go & Fill keyboard shortcut

The default 1password preferences cmd-option-\ does not work for me on 10.5.8 and v3.4.4. Clicking on the -->> URL works fine. Ditto the Safari 1P button "go and fill" function works fine.

HOWEVER, I just discovered in the File menu cmd-option-return is listed as the "go and fill" shortcut. That shortcut WORKS. So you have a UI-docs conflict.

BTW, have you considered the old-fashioned idea of a user guide as PDF? I have wasted hours bouncing around your doc fragments and forums. Read the iPad guide as an example of how it should be done.

You want your users to get the gestalt of your design. Best to explain it to them.

[/quote]Hi Steve, welcome to the forums!

That’s a strange issue, Command-Option-\ is our default shortcut as you mentioned, however we do allow users to change this in the Preferences of 1Password (1Password > Preferences > Logins > Keyboard Shortcuts). Is it possible you may have changed it in the past?

We’re working on improving our documentations and also are investigating on providing a PDF copy of it. I am sorry that you wasted time “bouncing around” in our docs and forums, we understand that and we’re really trying to improve this.

    Thank you for your feedback.

    Steve,

Option-Command-Return is the default shortcut for the command to "go and fill the selected login information in the default browser" from within 1Password for Mac application (File > Go and Fill Login).

Option-Command-\ is the default shortcut to invoke the Go & Fill HUD from within Safari (Edit > Show Logins).

They are two different actions invoked in two different applications. Sorry for the confusion. I hope that helps. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />
