Updated passwords, on all computers
<div class="IPBDescription">Updated passwords, on all computers</div>I have a couple dozen user name and passwords, most of them similar. However, I'd like to increase the security of these passwords; I'm hoping to set up my keychains so that each account has a different login and randomized passwords.
I want to know the best way to do this. Should I change the account passwords one by one, or is there a way to do this for a whole batch of logins/randomized passwords? Once I've done this, it should be relatively simple to apply the new login/password info to my portable computers.
Thanks!

Hi poikkeus,
Welcome to the forums! I think you will have to generate and update the passwords individually at this time. 1Password does not currently have a bulk- or mass-editing feature.
I'm sorry I don't have a better answer right now, but I hope that at least clarifies the situation for you. Please let me know if you have any others questions or concerns. Thanks! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />Flag 0 -
Thanks for your reply. After reading the posts, it seems that this is one of the more requested features - and also one of the most challenging, since one must balance security and convenience. It seems that the best solution will be to (1) retain original settings for my passkeys, (2) generate a randomized password through 1Password, (3) change my account information, one account at a time, and (4) transfer the revised settings to my laptop and iPod Touch.
Hmm. On second thought, maybe security will have to take a back seat to convenience - until a bulk procedure is possible.

1Password does have a Generated Passwords vault which will store all of your passwords generated with the Strong Password Generator. If you name sensibly them when generating, you will have a handy reference list that you can transfer to the Accounts vault at your leisure. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />
Generated Passwords are only removed when you manually move them to Trash.
I hope that helps!
And, perhaps I was reading wrong, but we do have multi-platform syncing if you want to keep your 1Password data up to date across many Macs and iOS devices. (We even support Windows and Android!) If you are interested, check out our Dropbox sync guide and don't worry about updating your iPod touch and laptop. Let Dropbox do it for you. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />
