Sync iPad w/ Mac

I'm sorry, this may have been previously addressed, but I didn't find it in the forum. I just purchased an iPad and want to know how to sync 1PW w/my iPad. Thank you in advance!!



BTW, your product is the best and has saved me numerous hours when logging onto websites from my Mac. Plus your updates and personal emails, etc. are just great.

Welcome to the forums, and thanks so much for the kind words about 1Password. In order to sync 1Password with your iPad you'll need to have one of our 1Password for iOS applications available from the App Store, either 1Password for iPad if you never plan to own an iPhone or iPod touch, or 1Password Pro which is a universal application and will run on both the iPad / iPhone.



Once you have this installed you should first create a new database within 1Password on the iPad and you can then either sync using Wi-Fi or Dropbox as shown in our setup guides here:

Hi guys,



I've [u]finally[/u] found the time to get back to this issue. I've followed the instructions below to install via wifi and 1pw is now on my ipad. It even syncs as it should (a new p/w I added last nite on my mac appears on my ipod in 1pw). However, how do i get 1pw to appear on the safari toolbar bar of my ipad. I don't seem to have the option to use 1pw to insert the logon and p/w when going to a new site. What am I doing wrong, or what do I need to do to correct this?

I'm sorry for the confusion regarding Safari and 1Password on the iPad. 1Password app can't be integrated with Mobile Safari in same way as 1Password is integrated with web browsers, such as Safari, on the Mac. This is because Mobile Safari is not extensible with plug-ins at this time.



For this reason, we've included a Safari-like browser within 1Password that you can use to fill your details on web sites. If you need to use Safari itself, you may be interested in the Look Up in 1Password bookmarklet, which helps you to quickly switch from Safari to 1Password so that you can copy your information and paste it back in Safari.
