Misc nice-to-have fixes/features
in Mac
List of nice-to-have fixes/features.
1. Add a option to to search inside Trash folder as well. You can do it similar to how gmail allows you to search inside Spam and Trash folders as well (without complicating the UI) - or may be just another option in the buttons you have.
2. I would like to retain details/passwords for old (accounts no longer active) somewhere. Right now I put stuff inside Trash and let it be there. However, considering you don't allow deletion of individual items in the Trash folder (except for the bulk "Empty Trash" icon, I can't cleanup Trash.
3. You don't seem to provide control on how 1Password determines the "type" of a item. Sometimes logins get created as "Logins" and sometimes as "Generated passwords" alone. The list of generated passwords don't appear in the drop down options for 'Fill' when I navigate to that site in Firefox. I can't see to change the "type" and fill whatever needs to be filled. Right now, I manually create another entry and copy over the password.
4. Generate password dialog, even when invoked from within the browser needs a "Save" button. It could be the same functionality as what is done by "Fill", but it would clear to the user that he can save it without "Filling" it to the browser. Some sites popup Flash based login windows OR other dialogs without a toolbar. The only way I can reach the Generate button is using a different browser window. That window wouldn't have anything to "Fill". Having just a simple Generate and Save would be nice.
5. Please fix your "Password strength" Green/Yellow/Red algorithm so that a password of harry@example.com when the username is also harry@example.com is NOT considered a great password <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
Special thanks to making the Alt/Option button press as a password reveal shortcut. So cool. Discovered it by accident.

Hi Harry,
You got a great list of feature requests.
1) You can do this already, select Trash in the sidebar, enter your search term and when you see the search options drop down, select "Selected section”.

2) I like the idea of the archive folder as well. It's something that has been requested a few times by our users already. We will look into it but I can't promise anything. I use the trash folder as an archive already, with no plans to ever clean it up.
3) The Generated Passwords Vault is a safety net for all of the passwords that was generated when you use the 1Password's Password generator. If you used a generated password and you forgot to save it as Login, you can always look into the Generated Passwords vault to find it. It is normal to see some redundant passwords in both the Login and Generated Password vaults. The generated password does not show up in the list but the last generated one is stored as "Fill the last generated password" in case the login wasn't saved.
So if you save a new Login without a generated password, it'll be saved as Login without a copy in Generated Password vault. If you press cancel in the Generator dialog, it will not be stored in the Generated Passwords vault either.
4) We'll look into this and see if we can improve it but right now the Fill button does do the same job as Save. You do not need to open a different browser window, just press Fill and it'll be saved to the Generated Passwords Vault regardless. Even in an empty tab window, this'll work.
5) We'll look into this as well, you're right it isn't a great password, it's a huge security risk for the user.
Thank you for sharing the list with us, it is great and we appreciate it!Flag 0
