1PW doesn't capture pw field for Verizon's new signup page

Verizon just changed to a new signup page and is forcing changes of username/passwords. When I use their new page ( http://www22.verizon.com/Foryourhome/MyAccount/Unprotected/UserManagement/Login/Login.aspx ) , first of all it doesn't seem to autosave. Secondly, if I do a manual save, I capture the username field and several others, but not the password field.

My manual save captures the following fields: schwbzip (filled in with my zip code); Go (blank); IDTodken2 (filled in with username; scbsearchbtn2 (blank); and scbsearchbtn (blank).

I tried adding a new field to put my password in, but don't know the field name.

Help appreciated.

    Hi tamino,

I'm sorry that you are having this problem.

Please try saving the login manually like this:

    1. Enter your username and password, but DO NOT submit the form.

    2. Click the 1Password button in your browser's toolbar, and choose Save Login.

    3. Set the Action field to Create New Login (or to Replace <login-name>, to update an existing Login item).

    4. Click the Save button.

Using the above technique I was able to save and fill a sample login (including password) with Safari at:

    http://www22.verizon.com/Foryourhome/MyAccount/Unprotected/UserManagement/Login/Login.aspx

This is what 1Password saved (with no modifications):

    I didn't see a field visible for zip code anywhere on the page. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_sadsmile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-(' />

Please let me know how it goes for you.

Thanks for your reply - I notice that my form does not include all the fields that your does, so I will try to add the missing fields to mine.

I had used the manual save technique but my list of fields captured was drastically different from what you are showing (maybe because you were registering as a new user and I was transitioning from their old system to their new one). I was missing the IDToken2 field that appears to store the password and had the zip field that yours didn't have. I've also just noticed that they seem to have switched from a HTTPS login page to a HTTP one - I need to find out more details about that.

There appear to be some major problems with the Verizon site - lots of complaints, so I am attempting to follow up on this, and if I get it figured out will post followup here.

Verizon's site has sort of always been a mess, historically speaking. They change it often, and not usually for the better. I've had an account with them for ten years now, but I've been fortunate enough to only have to deal with it periodically the last couple years (since my phone has been on AT&T, which is a completely different set of problems!) Since I don't use it regularly, though, it really hasn't been worth my while to bother fixing the autologin in 1Password, so I just copy and paste when I need it.

The signup thing is a nuisance, for sure. But once you're all set up, I've had good luck with this login page.

Maybe if Verizon gets the iPhone next year I'll switch back. Thanks for the info, guys!
