Login fault

Hi,

I have a login problem with 1Password 3.5.0 (build 30795) and Safari 5.0.2 (6533.18.5).

My OS is MacOS X 10.6.4

The webpage is www.tamron.de

When I go to this webpage, I forward to http://www.tamron.eu/de/start.html

Ok, no I register to the webpage at the first time. I put in my login name and my password and the webpage accept this.

1Password open in Safari and I save this login now.

Now, I logout and reload www.tamron.de

Now I choose the Tamron entry in 1Password, but the website doesn't accept the login and 1Password open in Safari for saving the login. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='<_<' />

Ok, I make a test now with Firefox 3.6.12.

First I delete the Tamron login in 1Password.

Now I go to www.tamron.de and I enter my Login data. 1Password open now in Firefox and save the login.

Now I login again and this works fine now with Firefox, but 1Password plugin open even so and will save the Tamron login. Hm. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Whats the problem?

Greetings, Bernd ... and sorry for my bad english. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

    Hi Bernd,

It looks like the page is using some JavaScript that requires a literal key press or mouse click. Please try editing the login in 1Password and changing the Submit value from "If Autosubmit is ON" to "Never." This will fill the form and then allow you to manually click the "Anmelden" button on the page.

I don't have an account there to verify this, but this technique works on similarly coded sites.

I hope that helps. Please let me know.

    Thanks!

    This doesn't work. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

You can use my account, when you will test this problem with Safari browser.

    Send me a PM.

Please try saving the login manually like this:

    1. Enter your username and password, but DO NOT submit the form.

    2. Click the 1Password button in your browser's toolbar, and choose Save Login.

    3. Set the Action field to Create New Login (or to Replace <login-name>, to update an existing Login item).

    4. Click the Save button.

Then edit the Submit value described on my post above.

    Hm, strange.

This is the same, what Safari saves with 1Password plugin:

    But, when I use it, the login fault. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_sadsmile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-(' />

When make it with your method, the login is fine.

    But 1Password plugin open even time. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_sadsmile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-(' />

It sounds like manually saving the login worked for you. Are you still having trouble?

Please try adding "tamron.eu" to your "Avoid Autosave on These Domains" list (Preferences > Logins), and let me know if that helps!

    Thanks!

    Sorry for my late answer.

When I adding "tamron.eu" to your "Avoid Autosave on These Domains" list then doesn't open the 1Password plugin anymore. Fine.

But I doen't understand why login works when I save the login with Firefox 1Password plugin and with Safari 1Password plugin not. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I think I may still be having a hard time understanding the problem, but if Safari and Firefox are behaving differently, I would suggest reinstalling the extensions (Preferences > Browsers > "Remove All Extensions" then "Install All Extensions"). Clearing the cache may also prove useful (Help > Troubleshooting > Clear Cache).

Please let me know how it goes.
