Prevent field from being auto-filled

I have a web app that I wrote which has a modal login window that floats above the rest of the page and 1Password does a great job of auto-filling the login. Unfortunately there are form fields on the page below for data entry for entering a person's name and address that also are getting auto-filled. Is there a way to mark fields in such a way as to prevent this behavior. autocomplete="off" doesn't work. I understand why that would be given that some of the fields with that enabled on other sites such as credit card fields you might still want to have 1Password fill in, but in my case the data will never ever be the same for these fields. I guess I can workaround the problem by using javascript to disable those fields while the login window is up but I am wondering if there is any other way.

    Hi Geordie,

    Welcome to the forums! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

If you are able to send the URL, that would be immensely helpful since the exact code can make a huge difference. You can send me a private message if you like by clicking the little envelope icon below my avatar on the left.

In the meantime, please double-check that the login's Display value is set to "For HTTP Auth Prompts only."

Please let me know how I can best assist you from here.

    Thanks!
  • Never mind. It turns out to be a bug in the Chrome plug-in only. I could have sworn I tested it in Safari and Firefox but apparently I did not.

I would file a bug report but the problem site is on my development server and I can't easily post a link to it for the plug-in team to look at.
