Wifi synch vs DropBox
<div class="IPBDescription">Confused...</div>I am new to 1Password and am trying to get up to speed. I am coming from another product that was an iPhone product first and had wifi synch/backup to my Mac. 1Password appears to be a Mac product first and you can synch to your iPhone. I guess I am a little confused as to why you need DropBox. Can't 1Password for the Mac synch via WiFi to the iPhone? I am obviously missing something here.

Hi Horns28,
Welcome to the forums!
Dropbox syncing is fully automatic, does not require you to even be near your computer, and is our recommended method of syncing.
With Dropbox syncing, you can keep 1Password up to date from across town or across the country — anywhere you have an Internet connection. You Mac doesn't even have to be turned on!
Dropbox syncing allows syncing between Mac, Windows, iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, and Android in any direction with any combination. For example, while Wi-Fi syncing only works between Mac and iOS, Dropbox syncing will work between two Macs with no iOS device or two iOS devices with no Mac (although the initial setup does need to be done on a desktop computer).
I would strongly advise going with Dropbox syncing. It is more robust, just as secure — and just as free — as Wi-Fi syncing. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />Flag 0
