Convert Secure Note to Software

I have hundreds of license,logins,accounts etc.. that are stored as secure notes from years of converting products. Is there a method to convert from Secure Note to: (to software, or account or other). Something that will let me drag and drop the data into appropriate fields of new card type and then purge old note.

Also duplicate detector would be helpful

I think that would be problematic. Secure Notes have a sort of undefined "format;" that is to say, they don't have set fields that could be easily translated to another type.



Maybe there are ways to do some of this with AppleScript. I'm not very experienced with that, however. I bet somebody around here could come up with a much better idea. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />



A way to easily find duplicates would be awesome! However, I wonder if 1Password's security model would make that infeasible; a keychain item is decrypted individually at the time of use, and it seems to me that comparing multiple items would require the decryption of all of them at once.

Hi vikings,



Unfortunately there isn't currently a way to convert an item from one time to another, especially not for secure notes which as brenty pointed out don't really have any format to them and so there's no way to tell what information should be where.



We are looking into ways to improve the import options from other applications, but with so many different formats out there it does pose quite a challenge. However, a duplicates finder is certainly a much easier prospect, and we've had a few requests for this in the past and while I can't say for certain if and when this will be available I'll certainly add your vote to the list.
