Thank you for taking the time to contact us, Martin.

Please try saving the login manually like this:

    1. Enter your username and password, but DO NOT submit the form.

    2. Click the 1Password button in your browser's toolbar, and choose Save Login.

    3. Set the Action field to Create New Login (or to Replace <login-name>, to update an existing Login item).

    4. Click the Save button.

Using the above technique I was able to save and fill a sample login in Safari at:

    http://www.nespresso.com/#/de/de

Manually saving a login can be useful for logins that are either problematic to begin with or were once working but have since stopped. Doing this allows 1Password to refresh everything it "knows" about the page. Login pages often change as websites are updated and this can be a necessary but very useful tip. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

I hope that helps. Please let me know.

    Thanks!

    Hi Martin,

That's very strange, the Nespresso site doesn't appear to be Flash based, as I actually removed Flash from my system in order to improve battery life and general stability of my Mac. In any case, as Khad confirmed I was able to use the 'Save Login' option in my browser, in this case Safari, to save some fake login details.

Which browser are you currently using right now?

on right-click inside safari window popup says "about flash player 10"

so obviously they have an alternative page without flash for those who did not instal flash?!

does 1password work on flash pages at all?

    Hi Martin,

Well, that's some good news that they do provide an alternative login page without Flash, because unfortunately 1Password is unable to save and restore logins for sites that use Adobe Flash.

As far as we know, no browser password manager anywhere supports Flash-based sites because it is a proprietary solution and does not interface with the browser much at all. In fact, we worked with a Flash consultant and after reviewing the latest APIs provided by Adobe we found it is still not possible unless websites modify their code to allow it.

Most websites realise the problems with using Flash and provide a standard HTML login page as well, which seems to be true here. I don't know of a specific way to disable Flash for a particular site, but I've been using Chrome as my 'Flash' browser since it has it's own build of Flash within and I then uninstalled the Flash plugin itself.

Sorry there's not a better answer right now,

Aw, snap! My apologies for the confusion. I definitely do not have Flash installed, and they serve up a separate page for users with no Flash installed. Unfortunately, they serve it up at the exact same URL, so I do not know how to get to it without uninstalling Flash (or otherwise "tricking" the site into believing that you do not have Flash installed). The tricky part about this is that methods of blocking Flash without actually uninstalling it (like ClickToFlash) still report that Flash is installed. I don't know of any way to report to sites that Flash is not installed when it actually is.

I have been using the "Gruber method" for going Flash-free. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' /> I uninstalled Flash using Adobe's Flash uninstaller, but I have Google Chrome installed which comes with its own copy of Flash neatly segregated from the rest of my system. Now the only place I have to worry about Flash is in Chrome. FWIW.

    Cheers!
