ERROR: Dropbox failed to download remote encryption keys. Make sure Dropbox is fully synced on your
I have 1Password on my iMac, MacBook, iPhone4, and iPad, and have successfully synced all using wifi for months.
I have watched MacWorld and Screencast 1PW/Dropbox videos, read all Agile Dropbox syncing tutorials, moved the Agile keychain in preferences, etc., and read all posts here.
I can successfully sync 1PW on my iMac and Macbook with Dropbox, but cannot sync 1PW my iPhone 4 and iPad with Dropbox. Dropbox works fine in other applications on my IPad iPhone4. The problem is with 1PW configuration.
I have followed all directions, confirmed passwords are correct, etc., and get the same error message on both the iPhone4 and IPad:
"Dropbox failed to download remote encryption keys. Make sure Dropbox is fully synced on your desktop."
Dropbox appears to be synced on my iMac, as I use it frequently with other programs, and have tested 1PW with Dropbox by updating 1PW secure notes on MacBook and they do appear automatically on my iMac. No problem there.
But not so with my iPhone4 and iPad. I hate to go back to wifi syncing, as DropBox for my Macs works beautifully.
What am I doing wrong? Can someone help, please.

Welcome the the forums, Vascouno. I'm sorry you're having this problem.
Please try changing your master password on your Mac (you can change it right back if you like), and then rebuild your data file (Help > Troubleshooting). Changing your master password will regenerate the encryption keys file.
If that does not work, make sure you either have all of your 1Password data in Dropbox or create a backup, then reset 1Password's database on your iPhone (Settings > Database > Reset Database).
Please let me know how it turns out. Thanks!Flag 0 -

Khad:
It worked. I followed your instructions, changed the Mac 1PW Master Password, and the sync worked thru Dropbox with both my iPad and iPhone4. I had to change passwords on those devices, but then changed back, resolved conflicts, and it is working thru Dropbox beautifully.
Thanks for your prompt and helpful recommendation. Great customer service.

I have been using 1Password successfully synced via Dropbox on an iPhone4, iPad I, iMac, and MacBook Air II. No problems until I resynced Dropbox today. Dropbox synced fine ("All files up to date" on all four devices, but I get the following 1Password error on all four devices:
AGDatabaseError
Exception: The encryption keys file does not exist at '/Users/<my name>/Dropbox/1Password/1Password.agilekeychain/data/default/1password.keys'
What do you suggest please? I cannot access any passwords for any login!
Thanks,

So, that didn't work.
In 1PW I do not see an option for rebuilding data files in Help > Troubleshooting. I searched for this unsuccessfully on your website.
I then reset my database on my iPhone. Now I have no logins on my phone, and when I sync with Dropbox I get the error "Dropbox sync failed to download remote encryption keys. Make sure Dropbox is fully synced on your desktop." (which it is; same message on iPad). My logins are still on my iPad and I saved iMac 1PW backup file on desktop.
I even deleted 1PW from iMac folder, and re-downloaded 1PW from your website to re-install new, and deleted the 1PW folder in Library. However, when the new 1PW opens, I am asked for a Master Password, and I get the same AGDatabaseError about encryption keys file does not exist...
Shall I try to delete 1PW, restart, and reinistall again?
What else can I try, Khad?
Thanks.

Khad:
So I finally saved and renamed Backup, deleted 1PW from iMac and MacBook Air, deleted 1PW in Dropbox, and re-downloaded and re-installed 1PW, and restored from the saved Backups file.
iPhone and iPad then were able to resync, and 1PW is now apparently running smoothly on all four devices.
Thanks. Good tip to save the Backup.

Robert, I can honestly say that I don't know what happened here, but I am really glad I could help (if I did). <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
I'm guessing you are referencing another post I made in a different thread, but whatever happened it is good to know that things are working well for you. That never gets old.
If you need anything else, feel free to read my mind again. If that fails, you know where to find me. Haha!
Best regards,
UPDATE: Found and merged. Now this isn't as funny as it was to me at first when I only saw two posts in a separate thread. Hopefully it gives you a chuckle. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';-)' />Flag 0
