Happy Thanksgiving and 3 Gifts For You! - not for me though

Hi - I assume many people will have received the newsletter offering some free books for download and some BOGOF offer. However, when clicking on the links provided it will take you to the customer centre site requiring a login. I tried my user forum login but that didn't work. It instructs you to enter just an email address to get password which I did but it only comes back with an error message about not finding my email address.

Anyone else having similar problems?

Cheers

Michael

    Hi Michael & Sebastian,

I'm sorry for the trouble here, the easiest way to login to the customer center is to open 1Password and go to Help > Customer Center, this should take you straight in without the need for a password.

Please note, your customer center details are not associated with your forum logins.

Hope that helps, we'll try to get back to everyone's e-mail as quickly as possible but as you can imagine we're getting a much higher number of e-mails than normal right now, so please do be patient with us, we appreciate it <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

This guy from a classic, and rather annoying, UK TV advert does a great job of explaining it:

Thanks stu but this just bring me to the same customer centre page asking for my login. BTW, I'm don't have a licence yet. I only just downloaded 1Password and I'm trying it out. I'd like to buy 1Password taking up your offer though...

    Michael,

No problem at all, just use Dave's link for a 20% discount to the online store and once you purchase you'll be able to give-away a license of 1Password and of course get your free ebooks too <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

    Hi stu,

indeed, I bought my license from Application Systems.

This is a pity. I really would have liked to give a license to a friend.

    Thanks anyway,

    Sebastian
  • Hi,

    I also bought from Application Systems. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_sadsmile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-(' />

I really love using 1Password, but the customer policy is very disappointing.

So because i bought from a local reseller i am a customer second class?

    Hi Sebastian and DerTobster,

It's certainly not our intention for you to be treat as second class users, it's just that the nature of using a reseller means your details aren't automatically in our system.

Here's what we'll do, if you e-mail us your existing license key from ASH to support@agile.ws referencing this thread we can create you a record on our system to allow you to take advantage of the gifts. Just be patient with us while we try and clear the backlog, that's all I ask, we've got all hands on deck right now but things are still kinda crazy round here.

    Thanks for your understanding <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

UPDATE: We made a few changes in the Customer Center. Before you email us, please select Help > Customer Center menu in 1Password

  • Do I understand correctly that I can only give away a license for the same platform? I'm on Mac, my wife is (still) on a company-issued Windows machine, but so far I can see I cannot give a Windows license because I use a Mac? Or have I missed something?

    Hi raxtor,

That's correct, it's not because you *use* a Mac, but instead because you don't own a copy of 1Password for Windows, and therefore you can't give-away what you don't own, they are separate products after all.

    Sorry for any confusion,

If you have the license added to your copy of 1Password for Mac or Windows then please try the following:

    1. Open 1Password application on your Mac.

    2. Select Help > Customer Center menu.

I've tried this from within the application, and it just takes me to the exact same page to enter my email address. And entering my email address says it's not found in the database. My license was a gift so I'm really confused and would like to figure out why my email address isn't associated with my license.

It looks like the Customer Center didn't find the license key in the database. Please email the license key to support@agilewebsolutions.com and we'll do our best to help.

There have been a few instances of well-meaning gifters entering the wrong information and putting their email in the registration information instead of the person who is actually getting the license. If you guys come across something like that, just shoot us an email, and we'll be happy to get the correct info entered. Please send us your license key so we can pull it up quicker. Thanks for your help as well.
