setting up 1password on 2nd computer
I downloaded directions but they don't seem to help me in moving my data file from the original computer to the new so I have my info on the second. I dont know which file to copy even though the instruction said keychain. Is it possible once I put in the master password and license to sync the info from computer 1 to computer 2?
Thanks
how will I know if someone posts an answer?
Sorry but I have not used this before?

Welcome to the forums, gecoh! Please take a look at our "Setting Up a New Mac" guide, although if you plan to use both computers, it would be best to set up Dropbox syncing between the two of them to automatically and securely keep your data up to date.
The default location of your data file is:
~/Library/Application Support/1Password/1Password.agilekeychain
You can click "Watch Topic" at the top of any thread and select "Immediate Notification" to receive an e-mail when someone posts a reply.
I hope that helps. Please let me know.Flag 0 -
Is this the location of the data file I need to move to my new computer in order for me to use 1Password on it (my new computer)?
Where are the migration instructions located mentioned above? I'd appreciate reading up on this. DropBox is not a good option. They recently deleted all my files from my account (free account type) whiteout notice. I lost some important info, at least it was not my password data. That would have been a nightmare.Flag 0 -
That is indeed the location of your data file, and the instructions Khad mentioned were actually a link to the guide here:
http://help.agile.ws/1Password3/switching_macs.html
That should get you up and running, but your data won't be in sync, Dropbox is generally the best option for this, though I can understand your concern if they deleted data (which as far as I know they should never do unless your account has been sitting idle). There are some other sync solutions too:

Hope that helps,Flag 0
