Bookmarklet still not appearing in Firefox

After updating to the latest version of 1Password, my 1Password bookmarklet still isn't appearing in Firefox.

When I look under Firefox Add Ons, it shows as installed (although interestingly, it is the only add on that doesn't have an icon beside it's name...)

However, having followed the directions at the 1Password Support FAQs, the bookmarklet is still not visible.

Do I actually have to buy the app at iTunes just to get this bookmarlet back? Because I don't own an iPhone, so...

Mine disappeared too, although it didn't happen with a 1Password update. I first noticed it was missing this morning. I'm running Firefox 4.0b7. It's still working correctly in Chrome.

Welcome to the forums, fivefeetoffury and jim.wright.

The Firefox extension (and all our browser extensions) are unrelated to either of our bookmarklets. Could you please try unchecking and then rechecking the box for your appropriate Firefox version (3 or 4) in 1Password (Preferences > Browsers).

The "Look Up in 1Password" bookmarklet is intended for use with 1Password on iOS devices where Safari is not extensible. Please use the browser extensions on the desktop.

I hope that helps. Please let me know.

It helped. When I opened Preferences, under Browser Display Settings I found that "Show in top menu bar" was no longer checked. I re-checked it and restarted Firefox. Now all is well. Thanks for reminding me to look hard at Preferences.

    Thanks for letting me know it worked out, jim.wright. That's good news! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

How is it going for you, fivefeetoffury?
  • I swear I did just that earlier--and it didn't work.

Now that fix has indeed worked. Thanks very much. I was feeling kind of... weird without my trusty bookmarklet. Didn't realize how much I used it before. thanks for your assistance!
