Firefox 4 beta 7 form submission fails
Hi
You most likely know this already, but since the last update, the plugin for Firefox 4 seems to lock up forms. After using Firefox 4 for a few minutes, it's no longer possible to submit forms and the browser has to be restarted. When the plugin is not active, the problem doesn't occur. Is there any workaround for this?
That's build 30802 on FF4b7.
Cheers, -sven

I was not able to reproduce this myself, but I am sorry you are having this problem. We will monitor the situation and try to see what we can do in the next version. Please post any additional information as you come across it. Thanks!
Just to clarify: this is behavior observed with not only 1Password 3.5.1 but also the 3.5.1 (stable, non-beta) Firefox 4 extension installed in Firefox 4 beta 7?Flag 0 -
I am having the same issue since upgrading to the current 1Password 3.5.1 stable release with Firefox 4 Beta 7, with the latest 3.5.1 browser extension installed. If I visit a site (e.g., banking login page) and use the 1P button to populate the login fields (username and password), nothing happens with the browser when I manually click on the submit or login button. If I disable the 1Password extension for Firefox 4 Beta 7, I can visit the same site and manually enter my username and password. The login button works fine under these conditions. When this is happening, I cannot even visit the Yahoo! Finance site, enter a stock ticker symbol, and click get quote. When I click the "get quote" button when the 1Password extension for Firefox 4 is active, nothing happens. I cannot even click the "Add Reply" button on this forum submission page, so I will need to copy and paste this text in a new browser window after disabling 1Password Firefox 4 extension.Flag 0

Well, not sure. On the various past betas I never had this issue. The last update of 1Password, however, was a little strange. Maybe there was little time between the last beta and the followup stable and I just managed to update to the latest beta minutes before the stable was released. But I got two updates within - say - 5 minutes. Now I'm on the build shown in your attachments. I've also tried to download 1Password anew, but that didn't help either.
So all I can really say for sure is that the bug was either introduced with the current stable or the last beta before that. If there's a way to download the last one or two betas somewhere, I could try those and pinpoint it more exactly.

Sven,
The reason I ask is that sometimes Firefox will cache an older version of the extension that does not match with the installed version of 1Password. (Also, while the title of the thread should make it obvious, I also want to be clear to those finding this via search that we are talking about Firefox 4 beta 7 and not an earlier version of the current stable Firefox 3.)
So, maybe I'm just too tired, but did you say if you were in fact having the problem with 1Password 3.5.1 (and its matching extension) in Firefox 4 beta 7? It sounds like you are, but there were a lot of words about older versions and updates. Pardon my thickheadedness. I'm a bit under the weather today.Flag 0 -

I have tracked down this bug and have a fix. This will be fixed in the next beta. Thank you for reporting this!

Great, thanks a bunch.
And yes, that's FF4b7, 1Password 3.5.1 with the corresponding plugin.Flag 0
