Firefox: No Logins saved for this website

I'm running Firefox 3.6.3 and 1Password 3.4.4 (build 30767). Mac OSX 10.6.5.

I frequently get the 'No Logins Saved For this Website' menu option in the Firefox plugin for websites that I know have logins available.

Restarting Firefox and 1Password solves this for a while, but soon after it comes back again.

I have contacted support twice about this but received no reply.

I have reinstalled Firefox and updated 1Password.

What to try next?

TIA

Welcome to the forums, Rip! I am sorry that you are having this problem and that you have not yet received a response from us via e-mail. I just searched our entire support system and could not find a message from you (based on the e-mail address you used to sign up for the forums — it's all I had to go on). <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_worried.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':S' />

If you were using the contact form on our website, perhaps you mistyped your e-mail address, and our reply did not reach you. We have also been experiencing a very high support volume due to our Thanksgiving promotion. Response times have been a bit longer than usual this week.

I would be happy to assist you right now, though. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

Please update to 1Password for Mac 3.5.1 and clear your cache in 1Password (Help > Troubleshooting > Clear Cache).

I hope that helps. Please let me know.

    Thanks!

It sounds like Firefox may be caching some data from a previous version. You can fix this by completely uninstalling the Firefox extension and reinstalling it:

    1. Make sure Firefox is not running.

    2. Launch 1Password from your /Applications folder

    3. Click 1Password > Preferences > Browsers

    4. Uncheck the box next to Firefox

    5. Launch Firefox and click Tools > Add-ons > Extensions. Make sure that 1Password is *not* listed.

    6. Step #5 is the most important step so I'll repeat it again here <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> Launch Firefox and make sure 1Password is not there.

    7. If 1Password is appearing in the Extensions window, click the Uninstall button on the 1Password extension and quit Firefox.

    8. Return to your 1Password window and check the box next to Firefox

    9. Restart Firefox and click Tools > Add-ons > Extensions. Make sure that 1Password is listed.

After following these steps, the Firefox extension will have forgotten everything about previous versions and should work correctly.
