1password browser and ftp logins
Hello.
I have a feature suggestion. I've made some ftp logins in 1password for mac with links started with ftp:// - and they open in my default ftp application (cyberduck) as they should but in the iPad version internal 1password browser can't open such links. My suggestion is to allow user to open links in other applications (like readdle docs). I don't actually know if that's possible in iPad architecture, but if it is - it could be useful feature
Thanks,
Alexey

Welcome to the forums, Alexey!
Thanks for the suggestion. We will see what is possible in a future release. I know iOS supports application-specific protocols (we use onepassword:// for our own "Look Up in 1Password" bookmarklet), and obviously http and mailto are supported by built-in apps. Does Readdle Docs handle ftp:// links from Mobile Safari or other apps?Flag 0 -
Actually Mobile Safari opens ftp links by itself, but for password protected ftp it appears that password should be included in URL - and so if I manually add :<password>@ in URL - it works
(btw, if there is remote path present, I have to manually add slash to the URL as well)
But mobile safari can't upload, so interaction between 1password and apps that can upload to ftp would be useful anyway
Thanks,

I wonder if ftp:// links can be handled by third-party apps in iOS, though. I do not have experience with this. Is there a way to open ftp:// links from apps in a third-party app? Which app are you using to open these links. I would love to see if this is possible.Flag 0
