Using Dropbox sync after having renamed Dropbox folder
I recently used the tool pyDropboxPath to make ~/Documents my Dropbox folder. In other words, my Documents folder fills the role of the usual Dropbox folder. However, I can't for the life of me to get 1Password to recognize my “new” Dropbox folder and to use it for syncing. The Desktop version seems fine with using the data file—the 1Password keychain is located at the same absolute path as before—but no matter what I do I can't get the iPhone version to work. The problem seems to be that the desktop version no longer produces a .ws.agile.1Password.settings file. Even when I manually create such a file with the appropriate path, the mobile version “fails to download remote encryption keys.” Any idea how I can get syncing to work again?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Welcome to the forums, bdesham. I'm sorry you are having this problem.
Unfortunately, this is not supported by 1Password (or even Dropbox) as the app itself does not allow you you rename (or even change the case of) your Dropbox folder. Please use the Dropbox application to restore the Dropbox folder to a "normal" state. You can read a bit more about the situation in a post I wrote in another, related thread. This is on our radar as a possible area of improvement, but as I mentioned in the other thread, 1Password is currently doing everything "by the book." <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />
Sorry I don't have a better answer right now, but I hope that helps clarify the situation a bit.Flag 0
