1Password vanished!
I have lost 1Password in Firefox and Safari. The app works fine, all the data is there, I have removed and reinstalled browser extensions many times, closed all apps before doing that, restarted etc.etc.
Nothing. It is as if Safari doesn't know 1Password exists. No icon, no icon option in Customise Toolbar, no right-mouse click menu - literally nothing.
Latest Safari in Snow Leopard. 1Password 3.5.2 (build 30806).
Very puzzled! Any help gratefully received.
Regards
Alastair

Exactly the same problem here... Everything was working correctly with latest Safari 5.0.3, latest OS (10.6.6) and latest 1Password (3.5.4 - 30821). I installed Cooliris yesterday (it asked me to switch to 32-bit mode, which I authorized). I did not notice then that 1password disappeared but as I needed it today, everything is gone (menubar, top menubar, contextual menu). It is as if 1Password never existed... The App itself is fine and the data, stored in Dropbox, is fully available.
I tried the reset folder permissions in troubleshooting, uninstalled Cooliris, uninstalled the Evernote clipper, turned off all the other safari extensions, unchecked the 32-bit mode in Safari info. I tried to use 1password in Firefox 3.5.16 and Camino (no part of 1Password appear inside those browsers either), reinstalled 1Password 3.5.3 downloaded from Agile server but nothing appears either. I launched Safari without Saft too. First time this problem ever happened to me.
Extensions used: Youtube5, Ultimate Status Bar, Autopagerize, Affiliater for Amazon, Instapaper, Awesome screenshot, Clip to DevonThink, Exposer. Google Reader, Download Youtube. All to the latest versions. Plus SpeedDownload. Again everything was working correctly until I installed Cooliris for Safari.
My other macs are fine with basically the same versions of OS and Safari. I guess Cooliris messed up something but can't get it back. The uninstall feature of Cooliris is buggy and does not clean the whole mess. Had to uninstall manually the cooliris extension in the library and every other Cooliris related prefs, but to no avail.
Help appreciated...

Self answer - problem solved !!! After doing all of the following (previous post), I again "Uninstalled all extensions" then "installed all extensions" from the 1Password Prefs. Now everything is back to normal. I am very grateful to myself for finding the solution <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';-)' />
Hope this can help others though...

Did you ever get this resolved, Alastair? I don't know how we missed this thread, but it looks like we did. Let us know if you're still having problems.

Thanks for the update, Sakabara!Flag 0 -
I have had the same problem. Ever since "upgrading" to 1Password 3.5.3 (build 30812), the 1Password extension browser button is no longer available in Firefox (3.6.13) or Safari(5.0.3) I have tried EVERY solution recommended in the support area including creating new profile and nothing seems to work. I did the install for chrome and THAT works, but Firefox is my default browser and I would really like to get 1Password back. Help!!Flag 0

Hi again,
I take back my previous post. 1Password definitely vanished in Safari and all over the system. Re-tried all the previous tricks, but to no avail. Restarted the computer, with all safari extensions/plugins off, turned off evernote clipping, turned off then reinstalled the 1Passwords extensions in pref, cleared the cashes, reset folders permissions from troubleshooting in 1password. Nothing seems to work. There is definitively something wrong with 1password (as far as I can tell). Please look in the matter as soon as possible. Let me know if you need any other informations (@ Agile support team)

Sakabara and jsowenjr, could you please try out the beta version we just released (3.5.4.BETA-4), use Help > Troubleshooting > Reset Extensions (a new addition), and let us know if that fixes the problem for you?
You can get the beta version by going to 1Password > Preferences > Updates, and enabling the "Include Beta versions" checkbox.
Thanks!Flag 0 -
Glad to hear it worked for you, Sakabara!
Just so you all know and for future reference, in the next beta (3.5.4.BETA-5), we've removed the "Reset Extensions" menu item and combined it's functionality with the "Remove All Extensions" button in Preferences > Browsers.Flag 0
