Keep unlocked on Windows?

If you use the "leave extensions unlocked" option, you won't have to enter your master password once for each service (process). The purpose of that option is to make it so all the browser extensions "share" a single locked/unlocked status. You need to unlock 1Password itself only if you want to use the full program, which isn't necessary for most day-to-day browsing.
So enabling the option changes the requirement from "unlock each browser extension separately, after each relaunch of the browser" to "unlock all the browser extensions at the same time and only once"—a significant tip to the "convenience" side of the convenience-security scale.Flag 0 -
Thanks for the reply. That option is certainly better than nothing...so I guess it is handy in that sense. But I may be the exception in that, I prefer having the 1Password app unlocked while I'm using my PC, even if it's not really needed for web browsing. To me, it just makes sense to have the app open and available so I can edit, view and do all sorts from the app. But oh well, can't have it all <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />Flag 0

I didn't notice until today, but this seems to have broken for me in a subsequent update. It's now locking again when I restart Firefox. Anybody else seeing the same?
I've verified the settings are all as they should be (checkbox to leave extensions unlocked is checked), even tried changing them all back and forth in case it was a misrepresentation.Flag 0 -
