Encryption times... and Keyfiles....
Why does it take Knox a few minutes to encrypt a 1TB drive and it takes Truecrypt hours to encrypt the same size drive ? Can someone explain ? Is Truecrypt more secure than Knox ? Also, does Knox plan to use security tokens and Keyfiles in addition to passwords in the future ?
Thanks
Thanks

While I can't speak for TrueCrypt, Knox uses the encrypted disk images natively supported by OS X. I would imagine that may contribute to its speed. The AES encryption (both 128- and 256-bit) used for Knox vaults would currently take about the age of the known universe to brute force attack, so you can be sure your data is secure. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />
There are no current plans to support authentication beyond a good, strong password, but the longer, the better. Of course, we never say "never."Flag 0 -

Thanks for clearing that up. For the average person, Knox does a great job in securing important files. It's easy to use and the interface is very nice. It would be awesome if you could add an additional authentication choice besides just a good password. That would really go well with paranoid users.... <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />
