Amazon 1 Click purchasing

<div class="IPBDescription">Purchasing through Amazon</div>I have just purchased 1Password 3 for Mac and am therefore, very much a Newbie. I need some advice on a specific retailer, although it may apply to others. I currently purchase from Amazon, using their 1Click facility. This means that my data (including credit card details) is stored by them, so that when I want to purchase an item, Amazon can automatically access my data. Does anyone else use this feature and can 1Password be used, while still retaining the 1Click purchasing feature, if not, what is the best option?

    Welcome to the forums, billbir!

If you store your credit card information with Amazon (necessary for their 1-Click ordering), then you should not need to fill in your credit card information with 1Password. However, 1Password works quite well — I just used it a moment ago — to purchase items from Amazon when filling your credit card information is required.

    Cheers!
  • Khad,

Thanks for your reply. I was just thinking that 1Password might be more secure, but I guess that Amazon's security, must be pretty good also.

It really is a personal preference. I am comfortable storing my credit card information on Amazon since their business depends on keeping it secure. They have a highly vested interest. If you choose not to do so, 1Password will be a great asset in this regard since you will not have to manually fill it in every time but can rather use 1Password's credit card filling feature. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />
