Simplicity befuddles!

:| This is the first app I've encountered that was so simple I didn't understand. I'm not even sure it works. After reading the forum I've concluded all is well and not to worry. that said, I do have one follow up question.

I like the idea of creating a vault thumb drive that I can carry without worrying about losing valuable data. So I create a thumb drive on my iMac. Now what? Can I use the drive on my bosses' PC? How about a Mac, not mine?

Like I say, Knox is so simple as to defy my corrupted geek brain.

Maybe you could complicate it some so we could trust it more(giggle)

Knox is for Macs only. You can't read your Knox vault on a PC.

Steve, Knox uses functions that are a built-in part of OS X so you can only read / open Knox vaults on Macs (OS X). If you need cross platform encrypted images you would have to use TrueCrypt / PGP / or another more complicated product.

SteveHo, binaryeric is right. Knox is Mac-only because it uses Mac OS X’s encrypted disk images to encrypt your data. This technology is not available on Windows.
