OS 3.0 with older version / problem after accidental updating to newer version

For several reasons I still use OS 3.0 with my iPhone 3G.

Recently I updated my apps to newest versions. After that the old version of 1Password was deleted from my iPhone.

How can I restore my 1Password data? Or are they lost?

Is it possible to install an older version von 1Password again?

Thanks for any help in advance,

Wolle

Welcome to the forums, Wolle. I'm sorry that you're having this problem.

Unfortunately, deleting the iPhone application will also remove all its data.

If you have your 1Password data synced with 1Password Mac then you can just re-sync your data very easily.

If you made an app-based backup of your 1Password data, you can restore it using the built-in Backup and Restore feature in 1Password. If so, please see this section on the help guide on how to back up and restore your data:

    http://help.agile.ws/1Password_touch/backup.html

Also, iTunes makes a one time backup of all applications during the sync. You may be able to restore your 1Password data by restoring this backup. Please see this article for more information:

Please let me know how it turns out.

    Thanks!

Thanks a lot for your response!

I was able to install former version of 1Password from the iTunes Mobile Applications folder.

    But data are lost completely.

No backups available. That's my fault.

On the other hand I'm either not aware that I accepted the update to newer version of 1Password app which is not running on my iphones OS 3.0 nor did I accept the deletion of 1Password or other apps which are deleted too.

I browsed on my iphone through the directories but as you already wrote, after deletion of the app the data are gone.

    Thanks

I'm really sorry to hear that, Wolle. iOS will not install an app (or update) without authentication from your iTunes Account password, though. Likewise, there are several confirmation prompts when deleting an app to ensure that it is not done accidentally.

I would strongly advise setting up Dropbox sync (even if you only use one device) for automatic, secure offsite backup.
