Problem importing pif file
Hi, i am using latest versions of 1password on an OS X 10.6.5.
My problem is that i imported my pif file from work and when i tried to import to my home mac the username/pass fields were empty.
Here's how the story goes:
Yesterday, i exported all my data from work mac into a .pif file. i then saved the file in my dropbox folder and went home. I then opened my clean (no data) 1password in my home mac and hit import from 1password interchangeable file.
All the entries were correct, however, the username - password fields were empty. no passwords had been imported. do you know what is the matter?
Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forums, nkmosch. I'm sorry you are having this problem.
Please try rebuilding your data file on your work Mac (Help > Troubleshooting > Rebuild Data File).
Please consider Dropbox syncing if you wish to have all your data always up to date on both machines. Simply move your data file to your Dropbox folder on your work Mac and open it in 1Password on your home Mac.
That said, if you do not wish to keep them synced but only do a one-time import, please try re-exporting the data after the rebuild.
I hope that helps. Let me know how it turns out.
Thanks!Flag 0 -

That's great news, nkmosch, glad to hear Dropbox syncing is up and running for you. What I love about Dropbox is that it really does 'just work', it sits in the background and rarely gets in the way, at least in my experience.
If there's anything else we can help with, please do let us know.Flag 0
