Site split logon between two pages
I go to several sites that split the entry of username and the password between two separate pages. After entering the username on the first page and hitting enter, you are sent to a second page to enter the password. I cannot get 1password to automatically log on to these sites without manually entering the username. Can anyone suggest a solution for this situation?
Thanks
Thanks

Welcome to the forums, CHM-CT!
More and more "institutions" are going to a 2 or more page kind of login sequence (it doesn't add any security but it's okay if they think it does). Please see our guide on how to setup a multi-step Logins for most web sites that fit this situation:
http://help.agile.ws/1Password3/multi_page_logins.html
Only fields in the Logins item that matches the *current* web form are filled into the fields.
I don't know if your sites uses them or not, but for your own browsing safety, I'd suggest that you edit the saved Logins item for any page that has a "security image" to have a Submit value of "Never". That way the fields will be filled in and you control the behavior by clicking the appropriate action button ("sign in", Login, Continue, ...) *after* you've visually reviewed the security image to make secondary certain that you're on the proper site.Flag 0 -

Thanks for pointing me to the doc. This solution works well enough for the few sites that are a problem.Flag 0 -
My brokerage recently changed its login procedure from entering the login name and password on a single page to a multiple page setup. I now must enter my login name on the first page, click enter, which brings me to a second page where I enter my password.
I've searched and cannot find anything addressing this issue. Is it possible for !Password to handle this type of login?
Thanks...

Lew, I have moved your post to one of the more recent threads on the subject of multi-page logins. Please see above and let me know if you have any further questions! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />Flag 0

Khad,
The procedure outlined in How to create multi-page Logins is basically what I have been doing.
Is there a way to link two 1PW files so that the first will call the second? Or, could a pause be inserted in a file to wait for the second page to appear before proceeding with data entry?

Lew,
Please help me understand the problem.
Are your credentials not filled in when you press ⌘\ on your keyboard? Are they being filled in but not automatically submitted? You will have to press ⌘\ to fill in each step of the process as there is not a way for Go & Fill to work across multiple pages.
If you need further assistance, could you please provide the URL? Without an account, I will not be able to proceed beyond the first page, but it may give some insights.
Please let me know how it turns out.
Thanks!Flag 0
