Each time you launch the 1P app it syncs, this decision was made in order to conserve battery life etc,

No it will sync anywhere, using the data plan from your cell provider.



If you are on a smaller data plan I would recommend syncing it the first time over your wifi. But if you have already preformed the initial sync, You can sync anywhere you have internet access. This will ensure you have a minimal impact on your data plan. Each time you sync its really only a small amount of data that is transferred, Its about the equivalent of a text file for each changed entry in your keychain during the sync.

I did a test and dropbox does not sync automatically. I had to go into 1Password and manually select 'Sync now' to sync.

It may take it a few to show up it compares the data on the phone to the one in dropbox. So it may take it a few minutes.



Also do you have it set so that you have to enter you password each time ? If so this will prevent automatic syncing. In order for the sync to happen automatically you have to store your passwords in the appropriate sections of 1P during the sync setup.

If you disable saving the master password when you set up Dropbox syncing it will not be automatic. Please reset Dropbox syncing (Settings > Sync > Dropbox > Account > Reset) and ensure that "Remember" is ON on the "Master Password for iPhone" screen of Dropbox setup on your iPhone. It is the first screen of the Dropbox setup process.

I can't remember but when I manually sync, I am not prompted to put in any password so I can safely say that password is not required.

This is kinda OT just a little :



I just updated my Airport Extreme to Apples latest and either the update or my ISP is having issues. I had to switch to 3G to get a connection to sync today I was able to replicate this behavior on 4 iPhones I have. Once each one was on 3G the sync completed in record time and when on wifi it failed repeatedly. Just a thought for you..

I reset as per instructions.



I though syncing was only via wifi? I reset dropbox in the office per your instructions above and the syncing started and completed?

No sync's anywhere you have an internet connection. No wifi limitation.

Just set it and forget it. I can't imagine going back to manually syncing via local network. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';-)' />

Hi there,



I recently faced an issue with Dropbox syncing from my iPhone/iPad to Window. I have checked my Dropbox settings and they seemed OK.



Today when I modified a Generic Account, and the updated data was not synced with the 1P Windows application. So I did a Manual Sync. The sync was eventually completed. However the data was not transfered from iPhone 1P app to the Windows app but was replaced by the original entry.



I tried the to modify the data on 1P Windows and it synced nicely onto my iPhone and iPad 1P apps.



It seems that changes on iPhone and iPad 1P apps are not updated or synced to the Windows 1P app. Appreciate if you could check it out. I have checked my Dropbox settings and it is OK. I am able to view and access my docs in Dropbox.
