Windows vs Mac Bug: Does not capture username / password for multiple apps on same domain [works on

Hi,

I have 1Password for Mac and 1Password for Windows 1.0.2.155 [used with Chrome 9.0.597.47 beta]

With 1Password for Mac, I can log into google apps for many domains (ie https://www.google.com/a/cpanel/MyDomain.com/Dashboard, where MyDomain.com is replaced by the actual domains hosted) and 1Password will recognise the login page and save the credentials etc.

1Password for Windows does not recognise the urls are different and so I can only save the login for the first domain - additional domains are not possible.

This is a problem as I manage the google apps domains for many companies.

Hope you can help or fix,

Thanks,

Neville

  • Welcome to the forum, Neville!

Whenever 1Password fails to "notice" the need to save a Login item, the first thing to try is creating a new one by hand.

At this time, only the Firefox and Internet Explorer extensions include this feature (described in Saving a Login item in the Tutorials section of the user's guide); the Chrome extension does not. We hope to improve that in future releases of our 1Password products for Mac and Windows.

As an alternative, in 1Password itself you could use the first Login item as a guide in creating similar Login items for the other domains, changing the Location, username, and password fields as needed.

I hope that helps, Neville. We apologize for the inconvenience.
