Archos 101 Internet Tablet bug

I was delighted to see that I could use 1P on my Android tablet along with my Mac. I've installed it and it works great except for 1 tiny little thing. The launcher doesn't see it <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

I've gone to opening AppMonster to get the list of installed apps (which does show it) and then a long click and selecting the 'launch' option to start the program. Obviously this is a less than idea solution <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

Any suggestions welcome.

Archos 101 Internet Table, latest FW updates, Android 2.2 update installed.

Thanks

    Hi Rian,

Thank you for your feedback !

First of all, I am glad that 1P4A works great on Android tablet, that is a great news for me !

At Agile we don't have an Android tablet (hope to get it soon), therefore, it was never tested on that.

As you know, Android OS is very dependent on the hardware, therefore, mobile applications behave somewhat differently on

    different phone models.

I have seen the issue you've described on my Nexus 1 with many applications, most often with "World Newspapers" : my favorite newsreader.

Somehow the application icons disappear from the launcher altogether and the only way to launch the app is by getting it from the list of installed applications.

Creating an application shortcut and simple reinstall does help in this situation but not always.

The issue is not related to the application itself but to the Android OS.

I will try to post a topic on that on Android forum and see what other developers may say.

Once I have any information available, I will add it to the forum.

Thank you again and best regards,

    Gene
