1Password & Dropbox - Another Syncing Issue
Hi everyone,
Trying to get 1Password and Dropbox to sync across two iMacs in the one office. Different generation machines, but both running OS 10.6.5. Latest versions of 1Password and Dropbox, both downloaded earlier this morning. 1Password file is stored in our Dropbox, and both 1Password apps are pointing to that.
It seems to be a caching issue. I'm making changes on one machine, and then checking our second machine to see if it updates (which it doesn't). We get a Growl notification from Dropbox to tell us that our 1Password file has been updated, but the list within the program does not refresh automatically (which I believe it is supposed to?). If I clear the cache on the second machine, our list updates instantly. I've also unchecked the "Use caching to load data file faster" option in Preferences > Advanced too, but that doesn't appear to have made any difference.
Any thoughts?
Cheers,
Chris

Chris,
I have been seeing a few cache issues in the last few days just like yours. I personally don't have any answers. Maybe one of the others has some ideas.
Edit : I remember my cache being turned off, strange it was on. Ill post back if I notice a difference it is off (again ?)Flag 0 -
Hello, napfekari, and welcome to the forum!
Chris and napfekari, could you try resetting the folder permissions and see if that fixes the problem?
If not, could you please email us your Diagnostics Report? This will help us track down the issue more quickly. You can generate the report from 1Password on your Mac by clicking the Help > Troubleshooting > Diagnostics Report... menu item and then sending the report to us at support@agile.ws using Mail.
Please include a link to this thread in your email message so that we can 'connect the dots'.
Thanks!Flag 0 -
Hello there!
I am having this issue, too. Which folder should we try resetting permissions on? The DropBox folder, or the cache folder -- and what should the proper permissions be?
Are you still looking for diagnostics reports?
Thanks!

Welcome to the forums, Scott. I'm sorry that you are also having this problem. You can reset folder permission from within 1Password by selecting "Reset Folder Permissions" from the Help > Troubleshooting menu.
If you are still having trouble, please do e-mail us your Diagnostics Report as Rob described above.Flag 0
