Is batch update url possible?

I have hundreds of passwords stored for a single URL because I have to log in to each user's account on a particular site. The site developer decided to move the site from .net to .com, now it appears that I have 0 passwords stored, because the URL is wrong. Is there a way (workaround, cheat, anything) that I can batch rename all urls from .net to .com for this particular site?

    I suppose there is a way/cheat. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

    1) Export the items that need to be changed to a 1Password Interchange File (File > Export Selected > 1Password Interchange File…)

    2) In Finder, find the file data.1pif inside the exported folder

    3) Open data.1pif in a text editor and find/replace domain_name.net with domain_name.com

    4) Save the file, and import it back into 1Password. 1Password will recognize all the items as already existing in the database, and will update them.

    5) Securely delete the 1PIF file because it contains all your information unencrypted.

    I hope that helps.
  • Please consider adding a find (optionally with replace) dialog as a new feature, in the app itself. thanks.

Hi BobAgile, nice name by the way!

This is something we may consider for a future update. However, one of things that's stopped us before is that we don't want this to be used to bulk update passwords as the whole point of 1Password is to use different generated passwords for each site.

I can definitely see the advantage of using it to replace a domain name for multiple logins, or to update tags etc.

Sorry I don't have a better answer for you right now.
