1P support for Prism/Firefox?

Hello.

I used Prism, a Firefox add-on from Mozilla Labs, to create stand-alone web application for online banking. This web application created with Prism has its own Profile folder. I have tried to copy the 1Password extension file from the Firefox Profile extension folder to the web app's Profile extension folder. But it didn't work out. The 1P extension file links back to "/Users/myusername/Library/Application Support/1Password/Extensions/30812/firefox3@1password.com". Inside this folder I found the file "install.rdf" which seems to contain version checking infos about the target application.

Maybe I could make a modified copy of the whole folder with a modified install.rdf for my stand-alone web app. But how do I find out the <em:id> of my web app?

I hope you can help me. Because like this online banking would be even more secure for me. Thank you.

X.

  • I'll second that request. If it's not possible in Prism. Please make it happen. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> Would be nice to use 1Password within a Prism "App".

Hello, Xenos and pantarhei, and welcome to the forum!

We actually suggest (and support) Fluid for site-specific apps. It works great for me, plus there's 1Password support!
  • Thx for the reply. But it's not really helpful at least for me. I need a Windows solution. I'm using both. Mac and Windows.

But the site-specific solution is only needed for Windows at the moment. So Fluid can't help me here. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

Any other idea? For my understanding it should'net be too hard to integrate 1P into Prism, as it supports Add-Ins.

Perhaps you guys can check how much effort is needed to make it happen. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

It is certainly on our radar. We will see how it shapes up when it is released. (It is more of a "project" than a "product" at the moment.) <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

Thanks for letting us know you are interested!
