Feature Request: Custom Templates
I'm new to 1password and already like it (both on Mac and iPhone). However while it excels at password management it falls a bit short for keeping all my "electronic wallet" items because compared to, say, eWallet or SplashID the product has a rather limited number of record types. For example, glasses and contact lens prescriptions, hardware serial numbers, health insurance information, vehicle information, library card etc are all missing.
Yes, i know I can use a Secure Note for these, but it's a bit messy to manage, and tricky to find unless i use a lot of tags. It would be *really* nice to have a forms editor so that we could create (and share?) new card/record types.

User-defined types aren't currently implemented but have been frequently requested/discussed.Flag 0

I realize that this has been requested numerous times but could the developer please let the user community know if this is a direction they plan on taking with future developments?
AWS staff has responded to requests for custom item types (and fields) in other topics, e.g. here. They're well aware it's something many customers (including me) are eagerly awaiting. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />Flag 0 -
Absolutely. We made a bit of headway in this direction in the early 1Password 3 betas, but we redirected some development resources to Dropbox syncing, Google Chrome Support, 1Password for Windows, 1Password for Android, and now 1Password for Windows Phone 7. We have not forgotten. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />Flag 0
