Bug? Low security by default for Software records

Lately I've been adding all my software license codes as Software records in 1P. Every new record I create defaults to low security. All other record types default to high security. Is this disparity a bug or a feature?

    Nope its the way the team set up the software vault, its defaulted to low, and other types are defaulted to high.
