big icon (itouch style) missing

I use the free trial version of 1password with osx 10.5.8

I love the big itouch style icon that come with the sample data in the shelf view....unfortunatly I can't reproduce it, even with the same site that are already in the sample, like google and youtube, Facebook (which I know for sure they have itouch icon available for their site) I understand that some site might not have the big icon available...but all the sites I'm trying are the ones I know for sure they have it. All I get is the little favicon at the bottom right of the blue globe icon....It's not a big deal...but I would love my shelf to look just like your demo on your site... The preview download work most of the time...sometime it get stuck and I have to stop the download.



Can you help me with my icon preview issue??? Is that even an issue???

I forgot to mention, that I add my logins directly from the pop up menu in the browser (which is supposedly the best method from what I've read here) I also tried to add new logins manually and I get always the little favicon instead of the big Icon (iTouch style) no matter how I add the login in 1password.

I'm sorry that you are having trouble with the icons. It sounds like everything is working properly otherwise you would not be seeing [i]any[/i] icon. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />



Some sites provide them for their main domains, but not on a separate login domain. For example, the New York Times has an [url="http://www.nytimes.com/apple-touch-icon.png"]apple-touch-icon for their main domain name[/url] (www.nytimes.com), but their login page is on a different subdomain (myaccount.nytimes.com) and [url="https://myaccount.nytimes.com/apple-touch-icon.png"]does not provide such an icon[/url].



Could you please provide the exact URL stored in one of your logins for which you are expecting a large "apple-touch-icon" rather than the smaller "favicon" image?

I have the exact same "problem" as Maryloo and would love to see the apple touch icons in the shelf view. Unfortunately, I don't believe any of those sites provide such an icon. Maryloo if you are still monitoring this thread... I found a work around. You can google icons for desired sites, copy the image and paste them where the image is paper-clipped to the details. The result is almost the same as if the site provided the apple touch icon. The blue globe and little favicon are gone - replaced with whatever icon image you pasted.



Specifically step by step: Highlight an icon found via search, copy image to clipboard. Open corresponding login details in 1Password - edit mode, highlight the paperclipped image (usually a screen grab of the login screen for that site), select 'paste' from the Edit menu. Image should be replaced. Hit save and the big or large icon image will replace the generic blue globe.



Yes... a bit more work, but I think worth it! Hope this helps.
