[Feature Request] backup options

hello. regarding pro version.

i am using only iPhone version. not going to use mac / pc version in the near future. i may use an iPad version when i get one if i get one.

some backup options i really want to see:

1) mail backup, so i will be able to sent backup file with iPhone mail app (will send it to myself).

2) iPhone internal file backup that can be seen in itunes (iphone -> apps tab -> 1Password app). i then will be able to copy it to my computer, and also copy backup file from my computer to the app.

the backup is just too hard right now.

are there new backup option that are under development for pro version right now?

    Welcome to the forums, namlu!

Thanks for bringing this up. There has been some internal discussion regarding iTunes File Sharing for 1Password iOS backups. I don't have a time frame for when or if this will happen, but it is certainly on our radar.

Mail is another option but less secure than a direct USB link. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

We actually strongly advise using Dropbox for not only syncing but automated backup. For instance, while 1Password for Mac or Windows and Dropbox need to be installed for the initial setup, you can then uninstall them from your desktop/laptop once everything is set up and still reap the benefits of automatically having all your changes in 1Password for iOS securely backed up at all times.

You can use the trial version of 1Password for Mac or Windows to set it up.

While we think you will undoubtedly enjoy being able to access, edit, and add to your 1Password data on your Mac or PC, you are under no obligation to purchase a license. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';-)' />

If you ever lose or destroy your iOS device, all you have to do is install 1Password on your new iOS and turn on Dropbox syncing. You won't even need to install 1Password or Dropbox on your Mac or PC again.

    I hope that helps.

    Cheers!
