CMD-/ keystroke in FF 4.0b11

It appears that FF 4.0b11 has made this keystroke combination toggle the "add-on bar", making it unavailable for 1PW, is there a way to change the key for fill?

Has no one else noticed that the key command to fill & submit doesn't work in Firefox 4.0b11?

    Hey whodean,

I'm sorry that you are having some trouble with Firefox. The default keyboard shortcuts for 1Password (Preferences > Logins) do not conflict with any in Firefox:

You might need to reset your keyboard shortcuts in 1Password to those shown in the screenshot above. I am not having any trouble with Firefox 4.0b11. If you are still having trouble after resetting the shortcuts as shown above (which use the backslash as opposed to the forward slash that the Add-on Bar uses), please quit your web browser(s) and then:

    1. Open 1Password

    2. Open 1Password's Preferences to the Browsers pane

    3. Click the "Remove All Extensions" button

    4. Click the "Install All Extensions" button

Please let me know how it turns out.

    Thanks!

Thanks Khad, do you know of any way to turn off the CMD-/ "add-on bar" keystroke in FF? I don't remember ever changing 1PW's default but I've used this one for years and it just worked until b11

    whodean,

What I am saying is that there is no conflict between the keyboard shortcuts of 1Password or Firefox 4 unless you change them to create one. Firefox just added a shortcut for ⌘/ but 1Password uses — as always — ⌘\ which are completely different keys on your keyboard. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

If you have a conflict, you need to reset the shortcut in 1Password. You can also change the Add-on Bar shortcut via System Preferences (as you can any menu item in OS X) if you insist, but this should not be necessary as there is no conflict with the default keyboard shortcut in 1Password.

Welcome to the forums, fireworksfx! Could you please tell me what it was exactly that did not work for you and what problem you are having?

The keyboard shortcut to bring up the Firefox add-on stopped working with 4.0b11. I tried the suggestion below but it did not work for me.

Is the extension installed and otherwise functional? Are you able to use 1Password via the 1P toolbar icon?

Could you please take a screenshot of your Logins preferences in 1Password? You can take a screenshot by pressing Command-Shift-3. This will take a picture of your screen and save it to your Desktop. You can attach it to a reply to this message. (Mine is shown above for reference.)

    I don't think the screenshot made it into your post. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_worried.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':S' />
