How to enter your 1Password license key

    In the top left corner of your screen, just to the right of  (the Apple menu,) click on the 1Password menu and select "License..." You can enter your registration information there.     I had been using 1password 2 since 2009 and I was getting the following error message:



    "[b][i]ALERT

    Generated Password cannot be created because the trial is expired.[/i][/b]"



    So yesterday I upgraded to 1password 3 BUT I am STILL getting the same error message with the upgraded version.



    How to we fix this problem?

    I have entered the license key. When I click on License in the pull down menu you showed, it shows that I am already registered for 1Password 3...

    I was wondering if I should delete and reinstall?

    Hi rto,





    It sounds like your 1Password installation is damaged, which is keeping it from starting. This is likely also affecting browser integration. To resolve this:



    1. Download 1Password from our web site:

    http://agilewebsolutions.com/downloads

    Click on the "Download Now" button under "1Password 3"

    2. Quit your web browser and 1Password, if it's running

    3. Open your Applications folder and drag 1Password to the Trash

    4. Install the new copy of 1Password you just downloaded

    5. Run 1Password and then your web browser



    Your information is stored in a data file separate from the application, so it will not be harmed by this procedure.
